The system aims to promote higher and more effective communication between patient, relatives and healthcare providers. Samitivej Prompt provides everyone with information such as care and treatment plans and safety protocols, encouraging the patient and relatives to be more involved in care during admission. Major features of Samitivej Prompt include:

1. Daily Schedule – This feature lists daily activities of the patient. In addition, the patient can make a request for privacy.
2. Care Need Button – The patient can make a specific request concerning care through this smart nurse call system.
3. Care Team – This feature allows the patient and family members to view a list of healthcare providers involved in caring for the patient. Using the Care Team feature, the patient and family members can provide grades and leave comments about specific healthcare providers.
4. Message Board – The patient and family members can send a text or photo message to healthcare providers; however, this is a one-way communication system.
5. Medical Expenses – The patient and family members can view current estimated medical expenses
6.  Current Status – This feature provides the patient and family members with status information during the discharge process. It enhances communication between the patient and healthcare providers by allowing the patient and family members to know what they are waiting for during the discharge process.
7. General Information – The patient and family members can use this feature to view room information and how to promote personal safety while admitted in a ward room. In addition, the patient and family members can make a direct phone call to the associated department(s).

Samitivej Prompt can be accessed through any mobile phone or tablet, from anywhere in the world with access to the internet. The system is supported by both Android and iOS operating systems.
