INFORMATION ABOUT

Samitivej International Children’s Hospital

In 2025, the children's hospital expanded when a new 8-story building at Srinakarin was inaugurated, providing 111 beds for pediatric patients.

Children are not simply small adults. Their care requires specialized pediatricians, nurses, medical equipment, and a child-friendly environment. To address the needs of modern families—both Thai and international—we designed the new building based on more than 20 years of pediatric care experience. This Smart Hospital enhances medical services, safety and convenience for both outpatients and inpatients.

Samitivej International Children’s Hospital is staffed by pediatricians, nurses and specialists covering the full spectrum of pediatric health, from infancy through adolescence. The hospital serves as a comprehensive treatment center for children across Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region, offering both primary and tertiary care, including surgical interventions. We address everything from developmental and learning challenges to mental health and complex medical conditions, as well as post-treatment rehabilitation using advanced technology.

We collaborate with leading international institutions such as Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) - Doernbecher Children's Hospital in the United States and Takatsuki General Hospital in Japan, which specialize in caring for critically ill newborns, including preemies weighing less than 500 grams.

Currently, there are two branches of Samitivej International Children’s Hospital:

  • Samitivej International Children’s Hospital (Sukhumvit)
  • Samitivej International Children’s Hospital (Srinakarin – New Building)
