The Teen Center offers a comprehensive service for both girls and boys between the ages of 12-21 years, including counseling services in physical and mental health concerns.
We are helping to solve the following physical problems including:
- Problems with growth
- Problems with height, appearance and weight
- Problems with skin, hair and beauty
- Problems with vision, such as nearsightedness or astigmatism
- Problems with hearing, such as deafness or sudden loss of hearing
- Problems with oral healthcare and teeth
- Problems with the orthopedics, such as scoliosis (curvature of the spine) as a result of sports and accident-related injuries
- Gynecological problems such as irregular menstruation
- Problems with allergies and other chronic diseases
Psychological assistance including:
- Emotional and behavioral problems such as aggression, depression, anxiety and stress
- Adjustment with peers, family and new environment
- Problems with school work, such as reduced concentration
- Problems with game addiction and /or drug addiction
- Problems with sexual orientation such as sexual deviation
- Problems with teenage pregnancy
We offer a wide variety of programs including:
- Assessment and consultation, liaison with various related agencies and organizations to provide assistance using an interdisciplinary approach
- Family counseling
- Individual counseling
- Arranging a group program for teenagers
- Organizing a skill-based workshop or training activity on various topics for teenagers and parents
- Providing consultation on drug use
- Providing consultation on various other health-related issues
Various forms of consultation
Consultation is carried out by specialists who are experts in various fields. It is important to get the consent of the teenagers and their parents and a strong emphasis is placed on confidentiality of the discussion between all parties receiving counseling. This creates a friendly environment and instills a sense of trust on the specialists, enabling the teenager and the family to fully develop to their potential and to confidently face their issues. This also allows teenagers to adapt to the changes in their life in a positive way.
