bringing home the prestigious
“Clinical Service Initiative of the Year” award at the “Healthcare Asia Awards 2023”

Samitivej Sukhumvit wins the prestigious “Clinical Service Initiative of the Year” award at the “Healthcare Asia Awards 2023” for its SAMITIVEJ PRETERM PREVENTION PROGRAM by SAMITIVEJ SUKHUMVIT HOSPITAL. Assoc. Prof. Boonsri Chanrachakul, M.D., Ph.D., M.Sc. (Medical Genetics), Project Chairman and Head of Samitivej Center of Excellence for Prevention of Preterm Birth, received the award on behalf of Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital.

The awards program honors hospitals which have successfully initiated healthcare programs for prevention and treatment to benefit patients and citizens. Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital started its preterm prevention program in 2016 and has been successful in reducing incidents of preterm birth. Currently, the incidences of preterm birth at 37 weeks and 34 weeks of gestation have been reduced to 5% and 0.23%, respectively.

Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital remains committed to continuously improve its preterm prevention program and further reduce preterm births. We will work with hospitals in Thailand and abroad to reduce the rate of preterm births and improve the quality of care for pregnant women and their babies.
