The Pharmaceutical Department at Samitivej Hospital provide services 24 hours a day. These services include quality checks prior to providing prescriptions, medication preparation, and patient consultation regarding proper use of medications. As we are JCI accredited hospitals, our patients can be confident in the standards we provide in terms of efficiency, accuracy and safety.
The pharmacy located at the Emergency Room is
open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Once our outpatients have been seen by a doctor or have completed their treatment process and paid for their services, they may proceed to receive their prescriptions, prescribed by their doctor via our secure computer system. Patients can visit their closest pharmacy counter or, in cases where patients have visited multiple doctors on the same day, they may receive their medication at the counter nearest their final appointment in order to accelerate the process and reduce waiting times.
Inpatients can make payment and receive their prescription medications from the comfort of their room. The hospital will send members of staff from the finance and nursing departments to provide these services, as well as to clarify usage or dosage instructions to ensure the utmost comfort, convenience and safety for our patients.
In addition to hospital-based services, Samitivej now offers home drug delivery for outpatients.
