Professor Suradej Hongeng, M.D.

Professor Suradej Hongeng, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist holding certification from the American Board of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, with over 20 years of experience enriched by extensive international training.

Throughout his career, Professor Suradej has treated more than 2,000 pediatric patients, performed more than 800 bone marrow transplants, and achieved a 90% success rate in treating thalassemia cases. His research has contributed significantly to the development of innovative therapies, including CAR T-Cell therapy which has an 80% remission rate for certain cancers, and he has done pioneering work in stem cell transplantation.

His expertise includes:

• Treating pediatric thalassemia, leukemias and cancers
• Performing stem cell transplantation, including haploidentical transplantation
• Developing and applying CAR T-Cell therapy for neuroblastoma and lymphomas
• Managing thalassemia using advanced transplantation techniques

• Collaborating with Harvard Medical School to develop the world's first gene-editing cell therapy for treating thalassemia
